Tire Breaks Free From Truck, Hits 2nd Truck On I-84 In Tolland
A loose tire caused damage to a pair of trucks on a stretch of highway in Tolland.
TOLLAND, CT — A tire came off a truck on Interstate 84 in Tolland last week and slammed into another truck, a state police report indicates.
The crash took place at 11:29 p.m. on Nov. 5, according to a crash report.
According to a state police crash report, a tractor-trailer was traveling in the center lane near Exit 69 in the westbound side of the highway.

The truck's passenger side front tire became dislodged and rolled into the center lane and was stuck by another tractor trailer, according to a crash report.
The trailing truck sustained damage to its own front tires and to its front braking system, state police said.

Neither driver was injured and both trucks had to be towed from the scene, according to a crash report.
