Toddler Wanders on Busy State Road, Couple Charged: Police
State police were alerted to a child in the middle of a road.

WILLINGTON, CT — A couple has been charged with risk of injury to a child after a toddler was noticed wandering on a busy state road, state police state police said.
At 2:41 p.m. on Tuesday, state police were called about a toddler wandering in the middle of the road in area of 47 Boston Turnpike, the local address for state Route 44, according to an arrest report.
Troopers began investigating with the state Department of Children and Families and it was determined that the young girl was from an adjacent apartment complex, according to an arrest report.

William Kachuk, 35 and Rachel Kachuk, 31, were both arrested and charged with risk of injury, state police said. They live at 47 Boston Turnpike, state police said.
