Tolland 7-Eleven Switches to Corporate Ownership

The 7-Eleven on Merrow Road has undergone a switch from franchise ownership to corporate ownership. 

And a spokesman for the chain said on Wednesday to expect a new and improved store. 

Company spokesman Thomas Skinner said things might have looked "a little bit of a mess" on Wednesday, but the store should be taking on a noticeable  new look on Thursday.  

New manager Allissa Sandberg has transferred to Tolland from a store in Rhode Island, Skinner said. The staff is also new, he said. 

New offerings will be added to the store as the summer progresses, he said. 
He also said samples of the store's typical offerings will be offered at the store and at public events. 

The store is currently hiring hourly sales associates for immediate starts, Sandberg said.
