Tolland Boys Work Overtime to Return to Class M Soccer Finals

After 100 minutes of scoreless action, Tolland and Lewis Mills came down to penalty kicks Wednesday night to settle the question of who would advance to the Class M championship game.

Moments later came the answer. The Eagles converted four penalty kicks to just two for Mills, giving Tolland a 1-0 victory and a return trip to the title matchup.

Last year, Tolland dropped a 1-0 heartbreaker to border rival Ellington in the season finale. This time around, the fourth-seeded Eagles will tangle with No. 3 Bacon Academy, which knocked off second-seeded Nonnewaug.

The title match will be played Saturday at a location and time to be announced.
