The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and
this is what I intend to do about it.

Providing a quality education for all students while faced with limited resources. I intend to review programs and curriculum to make sure they are producing intended results and effectively using our resources. The key to this is reviewing these with teachers as they are the directly involved with the students and know what is working efficiently.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates
seeking this post?

I am not afraid to ask the hard questions, to seek out the information and facts and not just accept the status quo. I will bring new ideas to the table based on my experiences and expertise.

List other issues that define your campaign platform:

Getting back to the basics of education. A strong foundation in reading, writing and arithmetic is integral to ensure the success of all our students. When the foundation is solid, it opens the door to so many opportunities for growth and personal achievement in any field of study or future endeavor.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I am a Certified Public Accountant with experience in not-for-profit budgeting as well as numerous volunteer opportunities over the past 14 years in the Tolland Public Schools with my 3 children.

The best advice ever shared with me was ...

Don't let anyone or anything stand in the way of your goals. My father said this to me when I had decided I wanted to become a CPA.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your
positions?

I am passionate about focusing on the success of all students and giving them the opportunities to challenge themselves and achieve great things.
