Tolland Council To Set Tax Rates After $61 Million Budget Approved
Tolland's 2023-24 budget was approved at a Tuesday referendum.

TOLLAND, CT — With a $61.55 million budget getting the OK from Tolland residents at a Tuesday referendum, it's now time for the town council to set the tax rates.
The budget comes with a tax rate of 37.33 mills for real estate and personal property, an increase of .75 mills or 2.05 percent. The motor vehicle rate is being capped at 32.46 mills. The rates will be set at Tuesday's council meeting, Tolland Town Manager Brian Foley said.
"I've always believed that when I budget passes on the first referendum, it demonstrates the confidence our residents have in our town council. Yet, while this budget sets a course for us to navigate finances, better than 900 people voted no. I owe it to them to keep working as hard as I can to find the savings funding to meet their expectations."
