Tolland Education Foundation provides grant for Multimedia Education in Physical Education and Art at Birch Grove Primary

The Tolland Education Foundation awarded over $2,000.00 to Mr. Keithan and Ms. Reed at Birch Grove Primary School to integrate technology in physical education and art education through multimedia format. The teachers and students will now be able to utilize instructional websites, educational apps, pictures, audio and video capabilities enabling them to reach all student learning styles. According to Art teacher Ms. Reed, “Students are much more engaged in classroom learning when they are able to visually connect to the artist and the artwork we are studying.” The teachers both received an iPad through Tolland Elementary Parent Teacher Organization funds, and needed appropriate accessories to make the iPad conducive to reach all 500 students at Birch Grove.
