Tolland Education Foundation to hold 10th Anniversary Beer and Wine Tasting on November 2, 2013

The Tolland Education Foundation (TEF) will host its tenth anniversary “Wine and Beer Tasting” on Saturday, November 2, 2013.  TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE! This annual fundraising event will take place from 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. at Crandall’s Lodge in Tolland.  Proceeds will go toward funding innovative educational programs in the Tolland Public Schools. 

This elegant yet relaxed evening will offer friends and community neighbors the opportunity to gather together to savor a broad selection of wines and beers carefully chosen and showcased by Ric Cartwright of Village Spirits in Tolland. For this event Connecticut Distributors, Inc., Allan S. Goodman, Inc., Knauth & Visser, New England Wine & Spirits, Opici Family Distributing, Slocum & Sons, Inc. and Vinfera Imports, Ltd. will provide a selection of fine wines. Craft Beer Guild Distributing, Downeast Cider House, and Sebago Brewing Company will provide a wide variety of beers. Professionally catered hot and cold hors d’oeuvres will be passed throughout the evening, followed by a coffee and dessert selection. 

The evening's silent auction will feature a wide array of items including gift certificates, decorative pieces, sports outings and memorabilia, electronics, restaurant experiences and much more. A live auction will highlight a gourmet meal prepared and served by a team of chefs in the winning bidder’s home. Credit cards will be accepted, MC, Visa, Discover, AMEX.  Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening.

Since 2004, TEF has provided Tolland’s schools with over $170,000 in grants and in-kind donations. Please help us continue to support Tolland’s public schools and share in an enjoyable night out at the same time. Tickets are on sale now for $60/person. Don’t delay, admission is limited and this event has sold out the last several years.
