Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?
Tolland schools do an amazing job supporting students and I would like to be part of supporting the faculty and staff to ensure they're well positioned to continue providing exceptional education and supports to future generations of kids.

It's important that Tolland schools are to attract and retain talented teachers and administrators. In order to support our ability to do that, I will work to nurture the BoE's ability to collaborate for positive outcomes.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Tolland has many talented candidates, I'm impressed with what our town has to offer. I believe that as a member of the BoE I would be useful in generating an environment of cooperation by encouraging thoughtful discourse. Additionally, my knowledge of our behavioral health system, the related issues facing our student, and how we might work together to find solutions to these issues would make me a handy addition to the team.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I think that my past work in government has given me the ability to hear different viewpoints and take into account various perspectives with respect while remaining focused on seeking outcomes that benefit the most people.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Culture beats strategy every time. No matter how logical your strategy is, without a cultivating a culture of curiosity and respect it is nearly impossible to meet a goal and maintain it.
