Tolland Highway Crash Leads To Recovery Of Stolen Gun

A driver went from the emergency room to the booking room over the weekend after a crash in Tolland.

TOLLAND, CT — A stolen gun was recovered after a crash in Tolland over the weekend, state police said.

The accident took place at 3:57 a.m. Saturday on the westbound side of Interstate 84 near Exit 68, state police said.

Three people were taken to Rockville General Hospital with suspected injuries, according to a crash report, including the driver, 18-year-old Elijah Bynoe, of Randolph, MA. When he arrived at RGH, police located a gun on him that was listed as stolen, according to a crash report.

He then was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, carrying a dangerous weapon and sixth-degree larceny after a crash on Interstate 84.

Bynoe posted a $14,000 bond and is due in court on Jan. 4.
