Tolland Man Facing 17 Charges Related To Teen Sexual Assault
The bond in a Tolland sex assault case was cut in half during a court appearance, but the man remained in custody Monday.

TOLLAND, CT — The half-million-dollar bond for a Tolland man facing 17 charges related to the sexual assault of a teen was cut in half in Rockville Superior Court Friday, but he remained in custody Monday, judicial system records show.
George Telford, 34, was arrested by state police on a warrant Friday. He has been charged with one count of first-degree sexual assault, four counts of both second- and third-degree sexual assault, four counts of illegal sexual contact with someone younger than 16 and four counts of risk of injury to a child, according to an arrest report.
The victim in the case is 14, according to an arrest report.

The warrant was secured after an investigation by the state police Eastern District Major Crime Squad.
Telford is due for his second court appearance on Aug. 25, records show.
