Tolland Man and His Trumpet Spread Good Cheer Amid the Fog in Rockville

VERNON, CT ― As children lined up to visit old Saint Nick in Vernon's Central Park on Sunday, the sounds of a trumpet could be heard amid the fog in Downtown Rockville.

It was coming from the Nativity scene set up near Town Hall and the holiday Santa House. Tolland resident Jim Sumner said he just wanted to do something for the holidays.

Sumner played a number of different holiday classics and even offered up some singing.

He did not say where he would return any day this week before the holidays.
