Tolland Obituary: Agathe Beaupre, 90

Agathe “Aggie” (Cyr) Beaupre, 90, of Tolland, beloved wife of the late Clarence Beaupre, passed away at her home with her loved ones by her side on Friday, September 30, 2016.

She was born October 6, 1925 in St. David, Maine, the daughter of the late Joseph Xavier and (Eleonore) Annie Cormier Cyr. She was predeceased by her brothers Leon, Roland, and Andre. She was a communicant of St. Matthews Church in Tolland. Aggie enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, enjoying the Sound of Music, making and sharing raspberry jam, and was an avid fan of the UConn Women’s Basketball team.

Agatha is survived by her four children: Elaine Beaupre Lazlo, Jean Beaupre Carlson, James Beaupre and wife Lisa Brooks, George Beaupre and wife Bela; six grandchildren: Mathew and Andrew Lazlo, Amy Carlson, Amanda Carlson and her husband Matt Huk, Alex and Michael Beaupre. She also leaves her special nieces Janice Agatha Cyr Oliver, Joyce Cyr Arsenault, Linda Cyr Taylor, and many nieces and nephews and cousins who are also left to mourn.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Visiting Angels of Tolland and the Hartford Healthcare at Home-Hospice Care, Mansfield and her special friends who were always by her side: Joan Glacy, Dennis Carlson and Sean McHugh, caregivers Tammy Kelly and Kathleen O’Connor.

Relatives and friends may join the family Monday, October 3, 2016 from 4 - 7 pm at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd. (Rt. 195), Tolland. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 10 am at St. Matthews Church, Tolland. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Vernon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
