Tolland Obituary: Arnold Chassanoff, 79

Arnold L. Chassanoff, 79, of Tolland, beloved husband of Judy (Simon) Chassanoff, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017.

He was born October 7, 1937 in Newark, NJ, son of Morris and Helen (Strauch) Chassanoff. Arnold was an avid sailor who loved to travel. He had a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania; he was a graduate of the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry and practiced in Griswold for many years. After retirement, he opened a small practice in Essex specializing in the treatment of sleep apnea.

Besides his loving wife of 51 years Judy, he is survived by his children David Chassanoff and his wife Wendy, Stephen Chassanoff, Alexandra Chassanoff, and his grandchildren Ty and Mya Chassanoff - whom he loved more than anything. He was predeceased by his daughter Amanda Chassanoff.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road (Rt. 195), Tolland. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
