Tolland Obituary: Carla McLaughlin, 97

Carla C. McLaughlin, 97, of South Windsor since 1951, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 while at Woodlake at Tolland Healthcare. Carla was born September 19, 1920 to the late Urban and Lila (Lee) Carpenter.

Carla is survived by her two sons, Frederick D. McLaughlin and his wife Patricia, of Stafford Springs, Thomas M. McLaughlin and his wife Joy, of East Hartford; her daughter Patricia A. Robillard, of Tolland; her sister Hester Green; granddaughter, Candice Hammond; great grandchildren R. Blake and Danielle Hammond, all of New Hampshire; and several loving nieces and nephews. Carla was predeceased by two husbands, Donald McLaughlin and Bernard McLaughlin; sisters, Lorna Herrick and Luella LaRose; and granddaughter, Nicole Robillard.

A Mass of Christian Burial is being held at St. Margaret Mary Church on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10 am, with calling hours prior to the mass from 8:30 to 9:30 at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor. Interment will follow at Wapping Cemetery.
