Tolland Obituary: Cathy Palarczyk, 61

Cathy Ann (Scaggs) Palarczyk, 61, of Vernon, beloved wife of Henry J. Palarczyk, passed away peacefully on Thursday, (March 1, 2018) at Woodlake at Tolland Health Center.

Cathy was born in Bourne, MA on January 21, 1957, daughter of the late Vernon and Laurette (Menard) Scaggs. She was a parishioner of St. Bernard Church in Vernon. Cathy was passionate about her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them.

She was a wonderful caregiver and was always willing to help others. Cathy had a great sense of humor, was extremely friendly, and was a beautiful person.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Nicole Palarczyk and her boyfriend Stephen Zdrok of East Hartford; her brother, William Scaggs and his wife Ellen of Somers; and her sister, Betty-Ann Walsh and her husband Nelson of Florida; and other relatives and friends.

Cathy’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Woodlake at Tolland whom she considered her extended family for their kind and compassionate care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 12, 10 a.m, at St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard’s Terrace, Vernon. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, March 11, 2-5 p.m., at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon, Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd., (Rt. 83) Vernon.
