Tolland Obituary: Constance Janiak, 75

Condolences to her family and friends.

Constance C. Janiak, 75, of Tolland, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Manchester Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Jesse and Jessie (Stephens) Carroll. Connie was a co-founder, with her husband, and vice president of Janiak Manufacturing in South Windham. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and Stafford Senior Center, where she was on the Board of Trustees. She also was an avid fan of UConn Women’s Basketball and the Boston Red Sox.

Connie raised her three children, and also took care of her mother and mother-in-law. She loved to cook and listen to country music. Connie was a warm, generous, and charitable person, who had a great sense of humor. She loved her family and the time she was able to spend with them. She will be greatly missed by all.

Connie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Anton “Tony” Janiak; three children, Anton R. Janiak, Jr. of Tolland, James E. Janiak and his wife Johnna of Tolland, and John P. Janiak and his wife Linda of Naples, FL; three grandchildren, Brianna, Jeffrey, and Johnny; three great grandchildren, Brody, Sara, and Dakota; sister, Joan Stanford; two brothers, Jesse Carroll, Jr. and his wife Glennis, and Roy Carroll and his wife Winona; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Stephen; brother, Homer Carroll; and three sisters, Lorene Muir, Lucille Etta Straton, and Molly Princivalli.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs. Her funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 8 Church St., Stafford Springs (please go directly to church). Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs.
