David Chzaszcz, 62, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at his home in Miami, FL. He was born in Danielson, son of the late Sophie (Krzys) and Edward Chzaszcz. After meeting his late wife Joan (Saglio) Chzaszcz at the University of Connecticut, the pair lived happily in Tolland for many years. He is survived by his children, Kevin Chzaszcz of Baltimore, MD and Laura Chzaszcz of Brooklyn, NY; his partner, Cidalia Duarte of Miami; his stepchildren, João Fonseca of New York, NY and Rute Tomé of Quarteira, Portugal; his step granddaughters, Letícia and Júlia Tomé of Quarteira, Portugal; his sister, Cynthia and brother-in-law Clarence Bonneau of Moosup, CT; his father-in-law, Ronald Saglio of Hebron, CT; and several nieces and nephews. David spent his last years traveling the world with his family and enjoying the outdoors in south Florida. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 4-6 PM on Monday, September 28, 2015 at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd. (Rte. 195), Tolland. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday at Gilead Cemetery in Hebron. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center.
