George H. Johnson, 89, of Vernon, formerly of Tolland, beloved husband of Nancy (Henderson) Johnson, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015. He was born October 24, 1926 in Forest Hills, MA, son of the late George B. and Lydia (Lampshire) Johnson. He was a Mason in Masonic Lodge Rockville #69. George was a US Marine veteran of WWII. Besides his wife Nancy, he is survived by his sons, Bruce Johnson and his girlfriend Debbie Schneeweis of Chicopee, MA and Glenn Johnson and his wife Holly of Tolland. He also leaves his grandchildren Julie Kronick, Jeffrey Johnson and his wife Christine LaBella-Johnson, Scott Johnson and his wife Carrie as well as his great grandchildren Landon, Lucas and Lily LaBella-Johnson and Kylee, Evan, Colby, and Makenzie Johnson. He was predeceased by his daughter Susan Kronick and his siblings Thomas and Martha Johnson. Relatives and friends may join the family on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 4-8 PM at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road (Rt. 195), Tolland, CT 06084.
