Tolland Obituary: Jeffrie Winchester, 54

Jeffrie Lee Winchester, 54, of Vernon, loving husband of Cheryl (Caldwell) Winchester, died suddenly on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his home.

He was born in Willington, on June 16, 1961 to William “Papa” Winchester and the late Marion (Pearl) Winchester. He grew up and lived in Tolland for most of his life. Jeff loved camping, spending time with family and friends, lawnmower racing, classic cars and Patriots football. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Italian American Friendship Club where he played darts, poker and horseshoes.

In addition to his wife, Jeff is survived by his daughters, Amanda Winchester and her fiancé Gary, and Gracie and Allison; his step daughters, Renae Charette, Emily Charette and her fiancé Ken, and Jessica Fallon and her husband Alex; his eleven beloved grandchildren, Dylan, Kylee, Bentlee, Mason, Andy, Julianna, Mariah, Addison, Brooke, Alivia and Ella, and is expecting number twelve in December; his sisters, Marlena Burns and her fiancé Paul, Billi-Jo Sheehan and her husband Tom; so many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends, and his faithful furry companion, Huck.

His family will receive friends for memorial calling hours on Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 1- 4 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon followed by a memorial service beginning at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jeff Winchester Family Memorial Fund, c/o United Bank, 1645 Ellington Road, South Windsor, CT 06074. Proceeds from the fund will be rolled into a college account for Jeff’s beloved grandchildren.
