Joseph Clemento, 97, of Tolland passed away, November 6, 2016.Joseph was a World War II recipient of the Purple Heart. He was on Omaha Beach on D-Day. Joe loved his family, home and gardening. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Eva Schuberth Laws Clemento; siblings, Paul, Carmella and Catherine; stepson, Robert Laws and wife Sharon; step son-in-law, Maurice Coulombe and two granddaughters. He leaves behind his step-daughter, Beverly, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 9am to 11:00am on Saturday November 12th, 2016 at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd., Tolland. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 12pm at Saint Matthew's Church in Tolland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Matthew Church, 111 Tolland Green, Tolland CT 06084 on his behalf.
