Tolland Obituary: Laureen Lisena, 69

Laureen Ruth (Lessig) Lisena, 69, of Tolland loving wife of 38 years to Ralph A. Lisena, Jr., passed away at her home on Sunday, October 16, 2016.

Born in Rockville, the daughter of Ruth (Taylor) Lessig of Rockville and the late Carlton Lessig, she grew up and lived in Rockville and Manchester before moving to Tolland 38 years ago. She was a graduate of Rockville High School, Class of 1965.

Laureen enjoyed feeding and watching the birds in her yard. She was a loving and devoted wife, sister and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, and her mother, she is survived by her sister, Nancy Trinks and her husband Steven of Rockville, her lifelong friend, Carol Mitchell of Rockville, her sister-in-law, Mary Re and her husband Conrad of North Merrick, NY, her beloved dog, Emma, and many extended family and dear friends.

Her family will receive friends for calling hours on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 5 – 8 p.m. with a celebration of life service beginning at 8 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.

Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
