Tolland Obituary: Laurette Guimond, 91

Laurette B. Guimond, 91, of Plainville, passed away on June 30, 2016 at Woodlake at Tolland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the loving wife of the late John L. Guimond.

She was born in St. Leonard, Canada on July 18, 1924 the daughter of the late Adolphe and Hattie (Leveque) Masse. She was a member of St. Dominic Church and volunteered with Friends Helping Friends and the Box Project.

Laurette is survived by her son Paul Guimond and wife Cindy of East Hartford, a sister Rita Oakes of Canada, step grandchildren Sean Rossitto, Jessica Darmon and husband Phil, and Michael Rossitto and wife Heather, and a step great-grandchild Mya, along with several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by sisters Rina Masse and Lucille Michaud.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday July 6, 2016 at 11 am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Plainville. There are no calling hours.
