Tolland Obituary: Richard Couture, 86

Richard F. Couture, 86, of Tolland, formerly of East Windsor, passed away on October 7, 2017. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Constance (LeBlanc) Couture.

Richard was born in Worcester, MA, son of the late Anthony and Agnes (White) Couture. Richard was a veteran of the US Army served during the Korean War. He was an employee of ABB in Windsor for 30 years. He graduated from St Joseph College and CCSU in 1995 & 1997.

Richard, devoted to his family, is survived by his children, Kenneth M. Couture & his wife Debora of Tolland, Kathryn Couture of Bethlehem, Diane (Osborn) Polinski & Matthew of Arundel, ME. His two loving grandchildren, Brooks Couture, Lynn (Osborn) Varley & husband Tom along with their children Winston & Adelaide of Underhill, VT. Brother Kenneth & wife Margaret Couture, of Harwich, MA, Janice Cashell, many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his stepmother Adele (Kuzmickas/Couture) & sister Shirley DiNatale.

His family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 4 - 7 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, 10 a.m., with family and friends meeting directly at St. Matthew’s Church, 111 Tolland Green, Tolland. Burial with Military Honors will be private in St. Catherine Cemetery, Broad Brook.
