Tolland Obituary: Richard Jones, 67

Richard A. Jones, 67, of Tolland, formerly of Norwalk, beloved husband of Jane (Van Rennes) Jones, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016.

He was born June 8, 1948 in Greenwich, son of the late Paul and Gertrude (Currier) Jones. He worked as a mechanic, then a truck driver. He loved the open road and also enjoyed fixing things around the house, taking care of his family and watching NASCAR.

Richard is survived by his wife Jane of 46 years, his daughters Ann Marie “Amy” Jones and her husband Craig and Sabrina Spence and her husband Jeff. He also leaves his loving sister Cindy Gilchrist, his grandchildren Steven, Ryan, Becca, Andy, Tyler, and Olivia, his sisters-in-law Dawne Reigle and her husband Bob, and Pam Van Rennes, his beloved pet Trudie, many nieces, nephews, cousins, his lifelong friend Richie Carino, and many friends he made throughout the years. He was predeceased by his nephew Jonathan, mother-in-law Mabel, father-in-law Albert, and brother-in-law Jack.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
