Tolland Obituary: Robert Iverson, 62

Robert D. Iverson, 62, beloved husband of Karen (Winans) Iverson, died March 2, 2016 at Hartford Hospital.

He was born in Middletown on April 29, 1953 to the late Robert and Helen (Pehota) Iverson. Bob had a passion for all sports, playing soccer, baseball and basketball in his youth, as an adult becoming a skilled martial artist and following professional soccer, football ,and NASCAR Racing. He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly kayaking with friends at the family lake house in NH. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Besides his wife Karen, he is survived by his children; Daniel Robert Iverson and his wife Trina Woo, his daughter Annie M. Iverson, his son Ryan Orszulak and his daughter Rachael E. Iverson; his grandson Breccan; his brother Martin Iverson and his wife Nancy of Durham; his sisters, Janet Lane and her husband Al of Middletown and Francene Bransfield and her husband Peter of South Glastonbury.

Relatives and friends may join the family on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 2-5 pm at Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect st, Rockville. A Funeral Service will take place Monday, March 7, 2016 at 10:00 am at The United Congregational Church of Tolland, 45 Tolland Green, Tolland. Burial will follow at 12:30 pm at Ellington Center Cemetery, Ellington.
