
Wayne C. Trueb, 80, of Tolland, beloved husband of 58 years to Margaret "Peggy" (Meek) Trueb, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital with his family at his side.
Born in Rockville, the son of the late Jacob and Lena (Moser) Trueb, he grew up and lived in Ellington, and Rockville before moving to Tolland 58 years ago. He was a graduate of Rockville High School, Class of 1954. Prior to his retirement in 2001, Wayne was employed by the Purdy Corporation/Timkin Corporation for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and going to Barber Shop Quartet shows in Manchester.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons, Michael Trueb and his wife Paula of Georgia, Scott Trueb and his wife Kelly of Willington, and David Trueb and his friend Terrance Caldwell of Georgia; two grandchildren, Peter, and Kaitlyn Trueb of Willington; his sister-in-law, Adele Trueb of Ellington; two special friends, Bill Higgins, and Jack Whitcomb, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his two sons, Peter, and Jeffrey Trueb, and his brother, Ronald Trueb (January 2017).

His family will receive friends for calling hours on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church, 34 Middle Butcher Road, Ellington. Funeral service will be held at the Apostolic Christian Church on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Ellington Center Cemetery.
