Tolland Obituary: William Winchester, 90

William E. Winchester (PaPa), 90, of Tolland, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, surrounded by his family.

He was born in South Woodstock Maine on August 11, 1926 to the late Guy and Helen (Burrows) Winchester. William grew up in Maine and served our county in the United States Army. He was a proud Loyal of Moose member and loved the Red Sox and UConn Women Huskies.

He is predeceased by his Wife Marion (Pearl) Winchester and his 2 sons Michael and Jeffrie. William is survived by his daughters Marlena Burns and Paul Hart, Billi-Jo Sheehan and her husband Tom; his daughter-in-law Cheryl Winchester; his brother Roger; his sisters Sis, Donna and Nancy; his beloved 11 grandchildren, Lori, Katie, Paul, Renae, Amanda, Emily, Jessica, Kristy, Rodney, Bailee and Gracie; and 17 great grandchildren, Sophie, Dylan, Cameron, Kylee, Summerlyn, Kinsley, Bentlee, Jaxson, Andy, Mason, Julieanna, Mariah, Addison, Ella, Alivia, Brooke, and Dexter; and all of those he adopted along the way.

His family will receive family and friends on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon from 1 to 4 pm. A service will conclude calling hours.
