Tolland Opens Registration For 2026 Scarecrow Contest

TOLLAND, CT — Registration is open for Tolland's 2026 Scarecrow Contest, giving local businesses and community organizations an opportunity to showcase their creativity on the Tolland Green.

The Tolland Permanent Celebration Committee is inviting participants to create scarecrows around any theme. Designs can be patriotic, traditional, whimsical, spooky or business-themed, among other ideas.

Participants also may draw inspiration from the 250th anniversary of American independence, which will be celebrated in 2026.

The committee said it will follow up with registration confirmations in the coming weeks and is looking forward to the displays adding to the community's fall atmosphere.
