Tolland Patch Letter: Endorsing Griffin For School Board

To the Editor:

Christine Griffin is running for her second term on the Tolland Board of Education.

As the Parish Secretary at our Church, I have worked closely with Christine, who is our Finance Associate, for eight years.

Each day I see how she takes care of our Church's finances. She is amazing and meticulous at her job and all things financial. Christine is very dedicated and focused not only in her job but as a current member of the Board of Education.

I have lived in Tolland for over 32 years and I admire how Christine asks the "hard questions." She doesn’t just rely on the 'experts' because why would we even need a Board of Education?

Though my children are grown and no longer in the Tolland School System, I am grateful to have someone like Christine on the Board of Education who makes sure Tolland children (including her own) and our Town as a whole have an excellent school system.

Christine, however, also keeps in mind the cost especially as it affects people like me, who no longer have children in the system, and anyone who is retired.

Christine will, once again, have my vote.
