Tolland Patch Letter: Questioning A Voting Official

TOLLAND, CT — To the Editor:

The Town of Tolland Deputy Register of Voters and campaign manager to Kenny Trice was attempting to incite violence at the polls on 11/08/2022. Brenda Faulsi is being allowed to keep her job and continue to not do that job at the same time.

Here we have a town official who is literally in charge of maintaining peace and helping the community of Tolland reach a fair and just result to their votes on 11/08/2022. At the very same time, I found out from another mom in town that this message was posted to her Facebook page almost a month ago asking for people to act violently at the polling centers in an attempt to intimidate and deter Republicans from coming out and voting on 11/08/2022.

I am not on any committees and I do not have any town posts, yet somehow even a normal Republican housewife and mom like me was sent this post. If even someone like I can be given this from a text from a friend, that means this is going all around town and there is no one saying anything about it from town hall.

I sent an email to bfoley@tollandct.gov, lbach@tollandct.gov, and mwyman@tollandct.gov. Brian Foley's response was basically that they are hoping this was just a careless mistake, and they are having it investigated by our amazing State Police (you know, the ones that state Democrats have made able to be sued for doing their jobs).

I have all the confidence in the world in our State Police, I however have no confidence in a deputy registrar of voters who would be willing to attempt to stop a fair and valid vote by inciting violence at the polls. As far as if this is just a careless mistake, the last time I checked, as a public official, she should be intelligent enough to know better or she is incapable of performing the duties her job requires because she is not smart enough.

There is no way the town of Tolland is going to be capable of having a fair and just voter turnout or results while she has anything to do with the position. I am a concerned mom, wife, daughter, and nearly a lifetime resident of Tolland.
