Tolland Public Schools Makes Schedule Decision for Wednesday

Tolland Public Schools will be closed Wednesday.

Tolland will remain under a blizzard warning until 1 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Snow will continue to fall today and there will be areas of freezing fog before 1 p.m. and fog after 1 p.m.

Vernon got 14.5 inches of snow, according to the state Department of Transportation. It’s the closest town they measure to Tolland.

A total daytime snow fall of five to nine inches is possible. Nightime there can be as much as an additional two inches.

Wind gusts will reach as high as 39 miles per hour and the wind chill value tonight could reach -11 degrees.

Wednesday will also see wind chill values as low as -11 degrees. The wind will die down Wednesday night.
