Tolland Rescheduled Its Open House Event

TOLLAND, CT — With the town mourning the loss of a longtime Tolland Fire Department member, municipal officials have rescheduled the Elected Boards and Commissions Open House from Wednesday of this week to May 31.

Tolland Fire Department officials Sunday announced the passing of Capt. Dennis Carlson. He was a first responder in town for more than three decades. See more on his passing here.

The open house is now slated for 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Tolland Fire Training Center, 191 Merrow Road on the 31st.

The event is an opportunity for residents ask questions of the town manager, Tolland Town Council, Tolland Board of Education, the local planning and zoning commission and the zoning board of appeals.
