Tolland Scarecrow Contest Back For 4th Year

TOLLAND, CT — It's time for the annual scarecrow contest on the Tolland Green.

It's the fourth year of the event, which is designed to allow individuals, businesses and local organizations to express themselves "through the creative process of building a scarecrow display on Tolland Green."

Scarecrow displays need to be registered by Sept. 28.

Set-ups are scheduled to start the weekend of Sept. 28 and displays must be taken down by Oct. 25, town officials said.

Community voting will decide first, second and third place and a category of the most creative will be awarded as well.

Community voting on the scarecrow displays will be conducted via the Town of Tolland website.
