Tolland School Security Upgrade Public Hearing Scheduled

The Tolland Town Council will hold a public hearing Dec. 9 on a proposed $414,000 school security upgrade.

The proposal would affect the high school, middle school, intermediate school and Birch Grove Primary School. Upgrades would include school guard glass doors, windows, exterior doors, camera upgrades and radio alert systems.

The town would have to bond at most $240,041 and would receive more than $174,000 from a state grant.
