Tolland Seeking New Assistant Finance Director

TOLLAND, CT — Tolland needs a new assistant finance director.

The town accepting applications for the full-time position, officials announced.

The position is 40 hours per week, with a starting salary range of $82,000 to $90,000, depending on qualifications and includes benefits.

According to the job posting, the assistant finance director will perform supervisory accounting work in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and cash management. The position also assists the director of finance and records in preparing operating and capital budgets, managing debt and compiling the town’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining internal accounting controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the town’s financial records.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree and three to five years of related work experience. A Certified Public Finance Officer credential is preferred. The town said applicants must be able to work effectively with staff and provide strong customer service to the public.
