Tolland Students Receive Academic Honors at Pomfret

Two local students have done well at the Pomfret School.

TOLLAND, CT - A pair of local students has been honored at the Pomfret School.

Jackson Lyon of Tolland, a member of the Pomfret School class of 2017, has earned Head of School Scholar honor roll distinction at Pomfret School for the 2015-2016 winter term. A student earns Head of School Scholar honors with a grade point average of at least 4.0 and no grade below A-minus.

Kaylee Arzt of Tolland, a member of the Pomfret School class of 2016, has earned high honor roll distinction at Pomfret School for the 2015-2016 winter term. A student earns high honors with a grade point average of 3.670 or higher and no grade below a B.

Founded in 1894, the Pomfret School is an independent college preparatory school for boarding and day students in grades 9 through 12. Set on 500 acres in the Last Green Valley of northeastern Connecticut, the school offers eight academic disciplines, more than 100 elective courses, 25 athletic options, and numerous opportunities to participate in community outreach and service programs.
