Tolland Town Manager Asks Strip Club for Billboard Revision
The town manager is asking for a revision to a billboard after receiving several complaints.

TOLLAND, CT — A new billboard from the Electric Blue Cafe in Tolland has residents riled up and the town manager asking for a little editing.
The Electric Blue, a strip club, maintains a billboard constantly between exits 70 and 69 along Interstate-84 and the latest version shows dancers in bikinis and one seemingly about to do a pole dance.
Town Manager Steve Werbner on Monday said he received "several complaints" last week and wrote to the owner of the club and "asked his consideration in revising the content of the sign."

Werbner said he also wrote to the state Departmernt of Transportation, "Expressing our concern with the sign content and asked if they could reconsider the permit for this sign."
Werbner said Monday he has not heard back from either party.

Electric Blue Public Relations Director Katrina Kulakova was not available for comment on Monday, but she told NBC Connecticut a few days ago that “It’s nothing more than the girls in their bathing suits."
