Tolland Town Manager Search Officially Begins

TOLLAND, CT — The search for a new permanent town manager in Tolland has officially started.

Texas-based executive recruiting firm SGR has been retained to oversee the search process. See its job posting here.

In early August, Tolland's treasurer and finance director Lisa Hancock was appointed temporary town manager. The position became vacant when Michael Rosen resigned from his position in early July to take what he termed "a career opportunity" as the municipal manager in Norwood, MA.

Tolland Town Council Chairwoman Tammy Nuccio and Tolland Director of Administrative Services Mike Wilkinson said at a special council meeting that going with Hancock was "the best move for the town," because it "provides continuity."

The initial review of applications is scheduled for March 13.
