Tolland Traffic Marred By Afternoon Crashes Tuesday

TOLLAND, CT — Tuesday afternoon was a busy one for Tolland emergency crews.

At about 5 p.m.. fire officials responded to a two-car accident on Merrow Road near the Exit 68 commuter lot.

A portion of the road — state Route 195 — was closed for a short time during the afternoon rush.

One person was transported to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries, fire officials said.

Two hours prior to that crash, a fire crew responding to the westbound side of Interstate 84 for a reported rollover accident between exits 68 and 67.

There was no word on injuries.
