Tolland's Big Pumpkin Ready For Another Season Of Photo Ops

TOLLAND, CT — The Big Pumpkin is back for another Halloween season in Tolland.

It stands at the home of Kristopher Farley's on Tolland Stage Road, just down the hill from the Tolland Green. Accompanying it is a large version of Jack Skellington of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" fame.

The Big Pumpkin II (a sequel to the original) became a big thing in Tolland in 2022 when Farley set it up on his spacious front lawn.

But there was a scare, and not from Jack.

During high winds last year, the Big Pumpkin I literally exploded, leaving orange shrapnel all over the property.

Farley then ordered a new one, which is a custom job, and a Go-Fund-Me account helps offset the costs.

For the better part of September and October each year, he allows the public to pose with the Big Pumpkin in his yard on Route 74.

Farley and even lets folks park their vehicles in a cut-out in his driveway. Signage is up.
