WARNING AND NOTICE OF REFERENDUMJune 18, 2024

The electors of the Town of Tolland are hereby warned and notified that a referendum in the Town of Tolland, Connecticut will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, for the following purposes:

“Shall the Town of Tolland’s proposed 2024-2025 budget of $63,665,940, reflecting a spending increase of $2,114,583 or 3.44% which requires an estimated tax rate of 37.77 mills for an increase of .44 mills or 1.18% be adopted? Yes/No.”

The vote on the question will be taken under the authority of Section C9-10 of the Town Charter. A vote of “Yes” will be a vote for approval of the budget, and a vote of “No” will be a vote for disapproval of the budget.

Notice is hereby given that the location of the polling place is as follows:

1, 2 & 3 Tolland Library Program Room, 21 Tolland Green

Optical scanning machines will be used. The polls will be opened at six o’clock in the morning (6:00 a.m.) and will remain open until eight o’clock in the evening (8:00 p.m.).

Electors may make application for absentee ballots at the Town Clerk’s Office. Central location for counting of absentee ballots will be at 21 Tolland Green, Tolland, CT.
