Tractor-Trailer, Car Tangle On Exit Ramp In Tolland
A car and truck collided at a busy intersection in Tolland.

TOLLAND, CT β A car and tractor-trailer tangled on an Interstate 84 ramp in Tolland late last week.
According to a state police crash report, at 2:53 p.m. on Jan. 4, a 2018 Lincoln MKC being driven by a 76-year-old Ashford woman exited I-84 eastbound at Exit 68 and came to a stop at the end of the ramp in the center lane and waited to make a right-hand turn onto Merrow Road. A 2005 Freightliner tractor-trailer being operated by a 61-year-old Old Saybrook man did the same but in the right-hand lane, according to a crash report.
As the light changed, the Lincoln began a right turn, as did the truck. The truck, however, wandered into the center. lane while making a wide turn and hit the Lincoln, according to a crash report.

The driver of the Lincoln complained of back pain while refusing transport to a hospital, state police said. The trucker was unhurt, according to a crash report.
