Tractor-Trailer Catches Fire On I-84 In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — A tractor-trailer caught on fire along a stretch of Interstate-84 in Tolland on Wednesday night.

Fire officials said the initial call came in at about 7 p.m. The truck was on the westbound side of the highway between exits 68 and 67, fire officials said.

Smoke was coming out of the cab area, fire officials said.

The right-hand lane was closed near the Mountain Spring overpass while crews tended to the truck.

The scene was cleared in about two hours, fire officials said.
