Tractor-Trailer, Pickup Truck Collide On Highway In Tolland

TOLLAND, CT — A tractor-trailer and pickup truck collided on Interstate 84 Thursday and created a traffic snarl in Tolland well past the morning commute time.

Connecticut Department of Transportation officials said the crash took place at 7:33 a.m. on the westbound side of the highway between Exits 69 and 68.

The center and right lanes were closed. DOT and Tolland Fire Department crews were able to clear the scene by 9:05 a.m.

Stalled traffic amid foggy conditions could be seen from the Cider Mill Road overpass.

There were no reported injuries.
