Trash Truck Hydraulic Leak 'Completely Cleaned' In Tolland: FD

TOLLAND, CT — Fire and environmental crews responded to a church parking lot in Tolland earlier this week after a hydraulic line began leaking from a trash hauling truck.

The incident took place Monday. Emergency crews began looking for the truck after receiving calls about a trail of fluid on Route 195 near the Tolland Green.

The truck was tracked down at the the Matthew Church parking lot, and, though the leaking was considered to be minor, an environmental cleanup crew was called to the scene, along with a crew from the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, fire chief and public safety director John Littell said.

Littell said the cleanup was "completed" in a short amount of time and no hazardous traces were left behind.
