Troopers Nab 400-Plus Bags of Heroin on I-84
The drugs were seized after a highway traffic stop.

TOLLAND, CT — State police seized two large heroin stashes — more than 400 bags worth — on Friday after a tailgating incident.
On Friday at 4:36 p.m., troopers from Troop C in Tolland were patrolling the Interstate-84 eastbound lanes when they observed a Hyundai sedan tailgating another vehicle, state police said. Troopers also noticed the front seat passenger was not wearing a seat belt and initiated a traffic stop in the area of Exit 69 in Tolland, state police said.
While speaking with the occupants, Teddy Hanson 40, and James Curtis 46, both of Maine, troopers observed "indicators of criminal activity" and several "edibles," or THC-laced brownies, in the glove compartment in plain view, state police said.

Curtis has been charged with a seat belt violation, possession of a hallucinogen, possession of a narcotic and possession of a narcotic with the intent to sell, state police said.
