2 Hurt As Trucks Collide On Highway In Tolland

TOLLAND — Two tractor-trailers collided on a stretch of Interstate 84 early Friday.

The crash took place at 4:03 a.m. on I-84 eastbound between Exits 68 and 69, state Department of Transportation officials said.

Tolland four officials said the right and center lanes were closed until about 12:45 p.m. while state police, fire and environmental crews cleaned up the scene. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection had to respond because of a fuel spill.

Two people were transported to an area hospital, fire officials said.
