Truck Crash, Brush Fire Keep Tolland Responders Busy Friday
Friday was a busy day for the Tolland Fire Department.
TOLLAND, CT — A truck crash in the morning and a brush fire in the afternoon kept Tolland firefighters busy Friday.
At about 7 a.m., Tolland emergency crews were at the scene of a crash involving two tractor-trailers on Interstate 84 eastbound.
The trucks collided between exits 68 and 69.

Minor injuries were reported but the right lane was closed for some time because of the crash and a large debris field. Heavy wreckers were also at the scene.
At abut 4 p.m. Tolland firefighters took on a brush fire on the the 200 block of Crystal Lake Road.

The crew made quick work of the 20-foot-by-30-foot brush fire.
