Unclaimed Powerball Ticket the First Since 2015
But the current one is worth a lot more, Lottery officials said.

TOLLAND COUNTY, CT - As the scoreboard clock runs down for the person who purchased a $1 million prize-winning Powerball ticket in Tolland County for the Feb. 20 drawing, Connecticut Lottery officials were posed the question.
When was the last time a big winning ticket went unclaimed?
It was a ticket worth $669,000 from Powerball that went unclaimed in Connecticut during the 2015 fiscal year, Lottery spokesman Derek Wong said.

The winning numbers drawn on February 20 were: 11 - 12 - 15 - 16 - 54 and the Powerball number was 25, lottery officials said.
To claim the prize, the winner must have the ticket processed on or before Aug. 18 by going to a Connecticut Lottery retailer or Lottery Headquarters, where the retailer or lottery officials will validate the ticket through their terminals, lottery officials said.
All draw game tickets expire 180 calendar days from the draw date, lottery officials said.
Players are being encouraged to check their tickets carefully online at CTLOTTERY.ORG, by scanning in a lottery Ticket Checker, by using the official CT Lottery Mobile App, or at any lottery retailer location or by calling 860-713-2700.
